For decades, Alex Llumiquinga has shared the traditional Andean rhythms of many countries to audiences of all ages. Now with Chayag en Familia, he is joined by daughters Korayma, Ameli, and Kelpi playing traditional instruments (charango, zampoña, bombo, cajón) and performing interpretive and traditional dances. Alex, Korayma, and wife Ireen weave lyrics in Spanish, Quichua, Quechua, and Aymara into sweet harmonies. The audience is invited to sing and dance along, and to experience the indigenous, African, and European roots of the folk music of Latin America.
