HB 4003 – an extension of End Profiling – passed unanimously in Salem

Great News for our Community from the CIO!

HB 4003 passed unanimously in both the House and Senate! The bill was an extension of HB 2002 and directs the Attorney General and the Law Enforcement Profiling Work Group to continue meeting and to issue a report with recommendations for legislation by December 1, 2016. The work group was established by HB 2002 to help build a system to identify, record, and correct profiling by Oregon law enforcement agencies.

We have made great progress in the Work Group, and look forward to continuing this important work to further End Profiling in the 2017 legislative session!
