Smithsonian exhibit! An Introduction to the new African American Museum of History and Culture!

An introduction to the newest museum on the National mall! The Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Culture recently opened it’s doors after many years in the making. The NAACP and the City of Eugene are happy to partner with the Oregon Black Pioneers Museum to host “A place for All People” an exhibit of 20 panels highlight the path to the creation of the museum and introducing the public to some of the content of the building. The Exhibit will be located at the Eugene public library on the second floor beginning November 6th.

A kick off event will be held November 6th at 4 pm in the Atrium Building immediately across the street from the Library. Speakers will include mayor Kitty Piercy, city councilor Greg Evans,  and The director of the Oregon Black Pioneers museum Willie Richardson
