Academic Support for Kids with the NAACP and SMART! Every Saturday starting Oct 13th!

Smart (Start Making a reader today) is collaborating with the Eugene/Springfield NAACP to offer one-on-one reading opportunities and books for elementary kids participating in the NAACP’s Back to School Program. The NAACP BTS program is designed to assist K-12 African-American students with academic and social supports to help reach their potential.
  • If you are interested in volunteering or signing up a student to participate, contact Laurie McNichols SMART program Manager, at 541-600-8035
  • The NAACP BTS tutoring and SMART reading program take place at the Downtown Lane Community College Campus 101 West 10th Ave. Every Saturday between 10-12 pm!
