SMART Reading Celebrates World Read Aloud Day with Challenge to Oregonians
The Oregon-based children’s literacy nonprofit, SMART Reading, is holding a statewide celebration in honor of World Read Aloud Day on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020. To commemorate the day and bring awareness to the importance of early literacy, SMART Reading is issuing a challenge to get 10,000 Oregonians to take a “Reading Matters” pledge to read aloud with a child in their life on World Read Aloud Day, or to help spread the word about the importance of reading with kids.
