MISSION
Our mission is to increase the number of skilled and literate youth graduating from high school, by providing them with mentoring, tutoring, cultural activities and incentives for maintaining regular attendance, thus creating a more attractive approach to education. The local NAACP is entrenched in the enhancement of literacy and education and the development of employment and technology skills for local youth. This is why the collaboration with Lane Community College SMART reading pregram and the OSAC sponsored ASPIRE program are key. We believe these resources help motivate at-risk students to stay in school!
