ACLU Postcard Writing Event!

September 8, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

The ACLU has envisioned this  project:
Host a party to write 500 get out the vote postcards.

We have less than 100 days to get out the vote for civil rights
and civil liberties, up and down the ticket.

While so many of us remember to make a plan and vote, we
know that lots of people need a personal push to make it to
the ballot box – that’s where you come in.

We’ll write postcards to voters across the country
explaining why we all need to vote like our rights depend on
it this fall. You’ll be a vital part of our force to take back our
democracy in the midterm elections.

Please join us on:

Saturday, September 8 from 10 AM – 2 PM
at the NAACP Eugene Headquarters:

    330 High Street in Eugene
(at the historic Mims House)

  http://oregonhumanities.org/this-land/stories/finding-home-at-the-mims/

Studies have shown that personal messages from people like you
can make a huge difference and increase voter turnout rates.
Your postcards could be the difference it takes to change the minds
of people who don’t typically vote in midterm elections – and even
people who haven’t voted before at all.

It’s super easy – and it just might be the thing that will make the difference
this November.

Bring your pens, coffee and stories – the ACLU is supplying the postcards.

Thanks for being a part of our movement.

Please note that this being held at a historical house and that there
are stairs and there is no handy-abled access.
