SAfER and City-wide MEChA invite you to a School Board Candidate Forum!

Voters will elect three members of the Springfield School Board in May, choosing among six candidates for three seats.  What do the candidates think about key issues affecting education in Springfield?  Students, those most directly affected, deserve to know.  That’s why City-wide MEChA, a group of local LatinX youth, is teaming up with Springfield Alliance for Equity and Respect (SAfER) to organize a School Board Candidate Forum on Thursday, April 25th.  The forum will take place at the Springfield Library Meeting Room at Springfield City Hall, 225 5th St. at 6:30 pm.

Please come to support the students in City-wide MEChA when they ask questions of the people who are running to serve on the Springfield School Board! These savvy students will have good questions for the people who aspire to guide their education. Parents and other Springfield residents also are encouraged to meet the candidates and find out what they think.
