- Inform participants of the House Bill 2016 State of Emergency for African American students in Oregon
- Build community between students, parents, and educators
- Strategize solutions to address the state of emergency facing our students today
Description:
This conference provides an opportunity for students and families to engage with educators in discussion, networking, and community building.
Breakout sessions will be geared specifically for students, parents, and educators focusing on financial fluency for wealth building, professional development for teachers to improve outcomes for their historically underserved students, bridging the transition from high school to college, high-wage and high-demand job opportunities in our community, current ODE legislation, support for parents in advocating for their children, and building leadership opportunities for students.
