Oil Train Days of Action Eugene, OR
May 14-16, 2015

Oil trains are derailing across the country and are coming through Eugene.

What can we do about it?

This is a two-part discussion and workshop/training, sponsored by UO ROARCenter, Vancouver Action Network and Civil Liberties Defense Center, to initiate conversation with our community about the oil trains coming through Cascadia, through Eugene. We have an activist coming down from Vancouver Action Project (VAN) to share what they’ve been doing in Vancouver, WA. Learn how to identify trains, how to talk about oil trains with community members, raise public awareness, and opt to volunteer in civil surveying so we may spark conversation and ultimately mobilize our community.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday there will be “Listening Project Training” at UO, Growers Market and the Boreal. (see times and fb events below)

Saturday we will go into the Eugene community and talk with people about the oil trains that are coming through our backyards. To be a part of the action on Saturday, attend one of the listening project trainings. (see times and fb eventsbelow)
