OSAC is a small state agency whose mission is to expand opportunities for Oregonians to complete their higher education and career training goals through information, mentoring, and financial aid. It manages the Oregon Opportunity Grant (the state needs-based grant for students attending college), the Oregon Promise program (a new program intended to pay tuition costs for high school graduates and GED students to attend community college), and around 500 private scholarship programs (for which students can apply using one online application).
