Reading Group! Ijeoma Uluo’s So You Want to Talk about Race

The local NAACP and SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) chapters will co-sponsor a monthly reading group at the Mims House, 330 High Street, beginning Wednesday, October 10.
We’ll be discussing Ijeoma Uluo’s So You Want to Talk about Race from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on October 10, November 7, December 12, January 9 and February 13.
The group is free, but a small donation to support the NAACP office is welcome. Tsunami Books, 2585 Willamette, is offering a 20% discount on this $27 book.
Library Journal says, “With a clever approach that uses anecdotes, facts, and a little humor, the author challenges all readers to assess their own beliefs and perceptions while clearly looking at polarizing issues.”
